My first blog
I've never blogged before and had no idea how to start one. I came to visit someone else's blog and I'm now doing my own. Yet another thing to keep track of. I'm a yarnaholic and if I don't knit or crochet, I'll die. I love to read, but sometimes, I need to be soothed by the yarn in my hands and books can put me to sleep if I'm over-exhausted, as I often am. Right now I've been postponing finishing some of the UFOs. I need to finish them. I need to finish my squares for Baker's Dozen (send off May's and finish June's and then start on July's), finish Carrie's socks (I want no regrets in my life one day when she's gone), rip out Alberto's sleeves and redo them, and do his collar as well to finish that sweater, which he won't wear until the Fall anyway. I need to do scarves, fingerless gloves and socks for the girls, a black sweater for Juan Carlos, a clapotis for Marcelo, a shrug for Diana. I want to do a sweater for myself too. I would love to knit for Tona, but I don't know his size or his taste. So many projects, so little time.

I saw your post on the Vogue Knitting Facebook page about the Chunky Cashmere sale. You asked if there was something like a 12 Step for yarnaholics. I posted the following at the bottom, but then thought I would send it directly to you, to be sure you saw it. When I went to do that, I saw that you have a blog. So. here I am and here is my comment: "@ Leslie Tabarez - Poor dear. You've got it all wrong. It is a "12 STITCH Program" and you make socks and can go to as many meetings as you like. Isn't that just divine? Very healing. Of course, you don't actually quit being a yarnaholic. But, why would anyone want to do that?"

Hello Leslie, wish you all the best with your blog. So many projects you have to do - ohhhhh! But first of all I hope you have fun and enjoy our very nice hobby. No stress - in the moment my family tries to order some knitted thinks (like: ohhhhhhh Mami, look at this so nice dress, can you knit it for me - Mami, look this jacket is so, so fine please could you ...) But I think we have in our live with family, children, job and and and so much to do and I don't like stress at my hobby - This is - please!!! a stressless area . So children, wait - when I like it to do I do it ;-)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes from Germany to you, dear Leslie
